Getting There

  • Public Transit

    From downtown Antioch, start at the Antioch BART station located at 1500 W 10th St. Take the BART train towards the Pittsburg/Bay Point station. Once you arrive at the Pittsburg/Bay Point station, exit the train and head to the bus stop nearby. Catch the County Connection Bus Route 100 towards the Pittsburg Bay Point BART Station. Ask the bus driver to alert you when you reach Nortonville Road. After getting off the bus, walk north on Nortonville Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Greathouse Visitor Center located at Nortonville Rd, Pittsburg, CA 94565.

    If you are already near the Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve, you can walk to the Greathouse Visitor Center. From the entrance of the preserve, head southeast on the main trail. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach Nortonville Road. Turn left on Nortonville Road, and walk approximately 0.2 miles to find the Greathouse Visitor Center on your right.

Follow the trail north until you reach the intersection with Nortonville Road.
