If you are near downtown Bakersfield, start at the Kern County Library located at 701 Truxtun Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93301. Head south on Truxtun Ave towards 8th St. Turn left onto 8th St and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Chester Ave. Turn right onto Chester Ave and walk for about 0.5 miles. Continue straight until you reach the corner of Chester Ave and Stockdale Hwy. From there, you will see the entrance to the park where Love Lock Bridge is located. The bridge is within a short walk from the entrance.

If you're in downtown Bakersfield, you can catch the Golden Empire Transit (GET) bus route 2 at the stop on 19th St and Chester Ave. Ride the bus towards the 'Stockdale & Coffee' station. Get off at the 'Stockdale & Chester' stop. From there, walk south along Chester Ave for a short distance; the park entrance will be on your left, leading to Love Lock Bridge.
