From downtown Bakersfield, take the Route 22 or 82 bus towards Stockdale Highway. The bus stops near the intersection of Stockdale Highway and Buena Vista Road, a short walk from the park entrance. A single fare is typically between $1 and $4.
Walking
If you are near the Shops at Riverwalk, walk east along Stockdale Highway. The park entrance will be on your right, a short distance from the shopping center. The walk is generally flat and takes about 10-15 minutes.
Driving
From Stockdale Highway, turn north onto Buena Vista Road. The park entrance and parking lot are located a short distance on your right. Parking is free for the first 4 hours, then $5 per hour, with a maximum daily fee of $50. The parking lot closes at 10:00 PM and reopens at 5:30 AM.
