Bus
From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop on University Avenue and catch the AC Transit bus number 18 towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the 'Nob Hill' stop. Once you exit, walk a few minutes towards the north to reach the heart of Nob Hill.

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)
Head to the downtown Berkeley BART station located on Shattuck Avenue. Board a train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. After about 20 minutes, get off at the 'Powell Street' station. From there, you can either walk up to Nob Hill, which will take about 15-20 minutes, or you can catch a Muni bus or cable car that heads towards Nob Hill.

If you're close to downtown Berkeley, you can walk to Nob Hill, which is a lengthy trek of about 15 miles. Start by heading south on Shattuck Avenue, then continue straight onto Market Street once you reach San Francisco. Follow Market Street until you reach California Street, then turn left. Nob Hill will be on your right after a few blocks.
