From downtown Berkeley, head to the nearest bus stop at Shattuck Ave and Allston Way. Take the AC Transit bus line 1 or 1R heading towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at California St & 6th Ave. From the bus stop, walk west on California St for a couple of blocks until you reach the entrance of Golden Gate Park. Continue walking straight into the park, following the signs towards the National AIDS Memorial Grove.

If you're renting a bicycle, start from downtown Berkeley and head south on Shattuck Ave. Follow Shattuck Ave until you reach the intersection with University Ave, then turn right onto University Ave. Continue on University Ave until it becomes the Golden Gate Park entrance. Once in the park, follow the bike paths towards the National AIDS Memorial Grove, which is located near Nancy Pelosi Drive and Bowling Green Drive.
