BART

Stay on the bus until you reach the Transbay Terminal in San Francisco. Once there, walk to the Montgomery St. BART station, which is about a 5-minute walk. From Montgomery St. station, walk northwest on Montgomery St. for about 0.3 miles (7 minutes), then turn left onto Kearny St. Portsmouth Square will be on your right at 745 Kearny St.

Start by heading south towards University Ave. Walk west until you reach the intersection with Shattuck Ave. Follow Shattuck Ave. south until you reach the Downtown Berkeley BART station. From there, follow the BART directions above. Alternatively, if you prefer walking the entire way, you can follow the same route as the BART travel by walking along Shattuck Ave. all the way to the city of San Francisco, which is quite a long trek (around 12 miles).
