Getting There

  • BART

    From Berkeley, head to the nearest BART station, which is the Downtown Berkeley Station. Take the Richmond line towards San Francisco International Airport. Get off at the Embarcadero Station in San Francisco. Once you exit the station, walk east on Market Street towards the waterfront. Turn left onto The Embarcadero and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection of The Embarcadero and Folsom Street. Rincon Park will be on your right.

  • Bus

    Take the AC Transit bus number 51B from any stop along Telegraph Avenue towards the Transbay Terminal. Get off at the stop at Folsom Street and The Embarcadero. After getting off, walk towards the waterfront. Rincon Park will be directly ahead at the intersection of The Embarcadero and Folsom Street.

  • Walking

    If you are already in downtown Berkeley, you can walk to the nearest bus stop or BART station to begin your journey to Rincon Park. Head towards the nearest AC Transit bus stop or walk to the Downtown Berkeley BART station. From there, follow the directions for public transport. If you prefer to walk all the way, it would be a lengthy hike of approximately 12 miles to Rincon Park, following University Avenue to the Bay Bridge and then to The Embarcadero.

    You can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Berkeley. Head south on Shattuck Avenue, then take a left on University Avenue. Continue towards the Bay Bridge and follow the dedicated bike paths along the waterfront towards San Francisco.
