Public Transit
From downtown Berkeley, walk to the Downtown Berkeley BART station located at 2140 Shattuck Ave. Take the Richmond direction train. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the 16th St. Mission BART station in San Francisco. Exit the station and head southeast on Mission Street. Walk about 0.3 miles (approximately 6 minutes) until you reach the San Francisco Armory located at 1800 Mission St.
Bus
From the Berkeley bus terminal, take the AC Transit bus line 1 or 18 toward San Francisco. Ride for about 30 minutes to the stop at 16th St. and Mission St. After disembarking, walk north on Mission St. for about 0.2 miles (roughly 4 minutes) to reach the San Francisco Armory at 1800 Mission St.
Biking
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Berkeley. Head south on Shattuck Ave, then turn right onto University Ave towards the Bay Bridge. Continue toward the Embarcadero and cross the bridge. After crossing, follow the signs toward Mission District. The San Francisco Armory is approximately a 5-mile ride from Berkeley and will take roughly 30-40 minutes, depending on your speed.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and have the time, you can walk to San Francisco. Start from the Berkeley waterfront and head south along the shoreline until you reach the Bay Bridge. From there, follow the pedestrian path across the bridge into San Francisco. Once you cross the bridge, continue on 1st St. and merge onto Mission St. Walk about 1 mile until you reach the San Francisco Armory at 1800 Mission St. This option will take several hours, so be prepared with water and snacks!
