Bus
From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop on Shattuck Avenue. Catch the AC Transit Bus 7 towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus for about 30-40 minutes, and get off at the Montgomery St BART Station. After exiting the bus, follow signs to the Montgomery BART Station and take the BART train towards Richmond. Get off at the Embarcadero Station. From there, walk 10 minutes towards Sutter St, and you will find the Flatiron Building at 1 Sutter St.
BART
Make your way to the Downtown Berkeley BART Station. Purchase a ticket for San Francisco, and take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Montgomery St Station. After exiting the BART, walk approximately 8 minutes towards Sutter St. You will find the Flatiron Building at 1 Sutter St.
Bike
If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops in Berkeley. Head south on Shattuck Ave, then turn onto University Ave and continue to the waterfront. Cross the bridge into San Francisco and follow the bike lanes towards the Financial District. The Flatiron Building is located at 1 Sutter St, which is a short ride from the waterfront.
Walking
If you're up for a long walk, you can walk to the nearest BART station (Downtown Berkeley) and take a train. However, if you prefer to walk, head east on University Ave until you reach the waterfront, follow the shoreline, then walk through the city towards the Financial District. It will take you about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the Flatiron Building at 1 Sutter St.
