From the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea, head southwest on Ocean Avenue towards the beach. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with San Carlos Street. Turn left onto San Carlos Street and walk until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn right onto 5th Avenue, which will take you directly to Carmel Beach. You will see the beach entrance at the end of the street.

If you are renting a bicycle, start from the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Ride southwest on Ocean Avenue, and as you approach the intersection with San Carlos Street, turn left. Continue pedaling until you reach 5th Avenue, then turn right. Follow 5th Avenue to the beach entrance, where you can park your bicycle in the designated areas.

Public Transport (Bus)
Catch the Monterey-Salinas Transit bus line 2 from the nearest bus stop on Ocean Avenue. Inform the driver you want to go to Carmel Beach. The bus will take you to a stop close to the beach. After disembarking, walk a short distance towards the beach entrance, which is marked and easily accessible.
