    If you are in the Castro Valley downtown area, start by heading west on Castro Valley Blvd towards Center St. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Redwood Rd. Turn left onto Redwood Rd. Walk along Redwood Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach a bus stop. Take the AC Transit bus line 29 towards Hayward. Get off at the stop near Gold Creek Dr. From there, walk up Gold Creek Dr. The entrance to Five Canyons Open Space will be on your right.

    Biking

    For those with a bike, start in the downtown area of Castro Valley and head west on Castro Valley Blvd. Turn left onto Redwood Rd and continue for approximately 1 mile. You'll see a bike lane along Redwood Rd. As you approach Gold Creek Dr, slow down. Turn right onto Gold Creek Dr and follow it to the entrance of Five Canyons Open Space, which will be on your right.

    Public Transportation

    From the Castro Valley BART station, exit and walk to the nearest bus stop for AC Transit. Take the bus line 29 towards Hayward and get off at the stop near Gold Creek Dr. From there, it's a short walk up Gold Creek Dr to reach the entrance of Five Canyons Open Space on your right.
