Public Transportation
From Castro Valley, head to the Castro Valley BART station located at 3457 Castro Valley Blvd. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 24th Street Mission station. Once you exit the station, walk northeast on 24th Street for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Mission Street. The Mission District is located just south of this intersection.
Walking
If you are already in Castro Valley, you can take a scenic walk to the BART station. Start at the Castro Valley Community Center and head south on Castro Valley Blvd. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the BART station. Once there, follow the Public Transportation guidance above to reach the Mission District.
Biking
For a more adventurous route, consider biking from Castro Valley to the Mission District. Start at the Castro Valley Park and ride along Castro Valley Blvd. towards the BART station. Secure your bike at the station, then take the BART to the Mission District as described in the Public Transportation section.
