Public Transit
To reach Tank Hill from Castro Valley, start by heading to the Castro Valley BART Station. Once there, take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 16th St. Mission Station. From the station, exit onto 16th Street and walk to the bus stop at 16th St. & Mission St. Catch the Muni bus line 49 (Van Ness/Mission) towards Bayview Hunters Point. Ride for about 13 stops and get off at the stop for 'Twin Peaks Blvd.' From there, walk up Twin Peaks Blvd for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Tank Hill.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can start at the Castro Valley BART Station and head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Castro Valley Blvd and Redwood Rd. Catch the AC Transit bus line 30 towards Hayward BART Station. Travel north for about 12 stops and get off at Hayward BART Station. From Hayward, take the BART train towards San Francisco. Once you arrive at the 16th St. Mission Station, follow the previous directions to take Muni bus line 49 towards Twin Peaks Blvd.
Combination of Public Transit and Walking
Begin your journey at Castro Valley BART Station. Board the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 16th St. Mission Station. Exit and take the Muni bus line 33 (Stanyan) from the same station, heading towards Golden Gate Park. Ride for about 6 stops and get off at the stop near 'Twin Peaks Blvd.' Walk up Twin Peaks Blvd for about 10 minutes to reach Tank Hill.
