Stay on the bus for about 30-40 minutes until you reach the '12th St & Imperial Ave' stop in downtown San Diego. From there, transfer to the MTS bus route 7 and take it towards the San Diego Zoo. Get off at the 'Park Blvd & Zoo Pl' stop. The Balboa Park Carousel is a short walk from the bus stop; just head into Balboa Park and follow the signs.

    If you are near the Chula Vista Trolley station, board the San Diego Trolley Blue Line heading towards America Plaza. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at the 'City College' stop. From there, transfer to the Orange Line and take it towards El Cajon. Get off at the 'Park & Market' stop. Walk towards 4th Ave, then take the MTS bus route 7 towards the San Diego Zoo.
