    From downtown Chula Vista, walk to the nearest bus stop on 3rd Avenue and E Street. Take the MTS Bus Route 701 towards San Diego. Ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the 'La Jolla Village Square' stop. Transfer to Bus Route 30 towards La Jolla. After about 15 minutes, get off at 'La Jolla Cove'. The Lifeguard La Jolla Cove will be a short walk from the bus stop.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Chula Vista. Start your ride heading north on E Street towards the coast. Continue on the Bayshore Bikeway, which runs alongside the bay. Follow the signs for La Jolla, which should take you onto local roads leading to La Jolla Cove. The ride is around 10 miles and takes about 45-60 minutes.
