Car
If you are starting from a location within the Colorado Desert, head towards California State Route 62 (CA-62). You can access CA-62 from various points in the desert. Once on CA-62, drive east until you reach the junction for U.S. Route 95 (US-95). Take the exit towards US-95 North. Continue on US-95 for about 25 miles until you reach the town of Needles. In Needles, take the exit for Interstate 40 (I-40) East. Travel on I-40 for approximately 30 miles, then take the exit for CA-95 South towards Blythe. After about 10 miles, turn right onto the exit for Grapevine Canyon Road. Follow Grapevine Canyon Road until it leads you to the canyon entrance. This drive may incur fuel costs depending on your vehicle efficiency and current gas prices.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, start by taking a Greyhound bus or a similar service from your nearest town in the Colorado Desert to the city of Needles, California. This journey may vary in duration based on the starting point but typically takes several hours. Once you arrive in Needles, you will need to hire a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Grapevine Canyon. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver beforehand, as this can range from $40 to $70 depending on the distance and time of day.
Rideshare
If you prefer a more flexible option, consider using rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft. You can request a ride from anywhere within the Colorado Desert to Grapevine Canyon. Just input 'Grapevine Canyon' as your destination, and the app will provide estimated costs and wait times. Expect to pay between $50 to $100 depending on your starting location and the demand for rides at the time.
