    Getting There

    Ferry

    Start by walking to the Coronado Ferry Landing, located at 1201 1st St, Coronado, CA 92118. From there, catch the ferry to downtown San Diego. The ferry ride takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Broadway Pier in San Diego, exit the ferry and walk towards the left side of the pier. Head towards the Gaslamp Quarter and follow the signs to the Balboa Park area.

    Public Bus

    Walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Orange Ave near the Coronado Village Theatre. Take the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus route 901 towards San Diego. The bus will take you to the downtown area. Get off at the stop at 5th Ave & Market St, then transfer to bus route 7 or 120 that goes towards Balboa Park. You will be dropped off near the entrance of Balboa Park, from where you can follow signs to the Desert Garden.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Coronado. Head towards the Coronado Bridge bike path. Follow the path across the bridge into San Diego. Once you reach San Diego, navigate through the streets towards Balboa Park. There are bike lanes available, and you can park your bike in designated areas near the Desert Garden.
