Public Bus

From downtown Costa Mesa, walk to the nearest bus stop on 19th Street and Fairview Road. Take the OCTA Bus 57 towards Long Beach. Ride for approximately 25 minutes, and get off at the stop at Pacific Coast Highway & Warner Ave. From there, walk about 10 minutes west along Warner Avenue until you reach Pacific Coast Highway. Bolsa Chica State Beach will be directly south across the highway.
Bicycle

If you're comfortable riding a bike, you can rent one from a local shop in Costa Mesa. Start by heading west on 19th Street until you reach Fairview Road. Turn right on Fairview Road and continue to the Pacific Coast Highway. Once you reach the highway, turn left and ride south for about 4 miles until you reach Bolsa Chica State Beach.
