Public Bus
From central Irvine, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) bus route 1 or 543 heading towards Laguna Beach. Make sure to check the schedule for bus times. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Pacific Coast Highway and Laguna Canyon Road'. From there, walk south along the Pacific Coast Highway for about 0.5 miles. You'll see the entrance to 1000 Steps Beach on your left, marked by steep staircases leading down to the beach.

If you're renting a bicycle, start from the Irvine Spectrum Center and follow the bike paths towards Laguna Beach. You can take the Aliso Creek Trail which will lead you south. Once you reach Laguna Beach, head towards the Pacific Coast Highway. Turn left when you reach the highway, and continue until you see the entrance for 1000 Steps Beach on your left. Be cautious of traffic when crossing the highway.

The entrance to 1000 Steps Beach will be on your left. It's approximately a 15-20 minute walk from downtown Laguna Beach. Be prepared for some steep stairs once you reach the beach entrance!
