If you are near the Irvine Spectrum Center, you can catch the OCTA bus route 86. Board the bus at the Irvine Spectrum stop and travel towards the Irvine Civic Center. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the stop located at the intersection of Harvard Ave and San Joaquin. From there, walk east on San Joaquin for about 5 minutes until you reach 5 San Joaquin, where the Irvine Historical Society is located.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in the area, such as at the Irvine Spectrum. Head north on the bike paths towards the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary. Continue along the bike paths and follow signs for San Joaquin. Once you reach San Joaquin, turn right and ride east for about 10 minutes until you arrive at the Irvine Historical Society at 5 San Joaquin.

If you are in the vicinity of the University of California, Irvine (UCI), you can take a leisurely walk to the Irvine Historical Society. Start at the UCI campus and head south on University Drive. Continue straight for about a mile until you reach the intersection with San Joaquin. Turn left on San Joaquin and walk for another 10 minutes. The Irvine Historical Society will be on your right at 5 San Joaquin.
