Bus
From the Irvine Transportation Center, take the Metrolink train to the San Juan Capistrano station. After arriving, transfer to the 191 bus towards San Clemente. Get off at the stop for Old Pacific Highway. San Onofre State Beach will be a short walk from the bus stop.

Start at the Irvine station and take the Metrolink train south towards Oceanside. Get off at the San Clemente Pier station. From there, you can either walk along the beach path or take the 1 bus to get to Old Pacific Highway, where San Onofre State Beach is located.

If you have a bicycle, you can ride from Irvine to San Onofre State Beach. Head south on Alton Parkway until you reach the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Turn right onto PCH and follow it south until you reach Old Pacific Highway. The beach entrance will be on your left.
