Hiking
Start your journey in the town of Joshua Tree. Head east on Park Boulevard until you reach the junction with Highway 62. Continue walking along Park Boulevard until you reach the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Once inside the park, follow the signs to Cottonwood Spring. The hike will take you through scenic desert landscapes. Be sure to carry plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and take note of the trail markers indicating the way to Cottonwood Spring.
Public Transit
If you prefer public transit, take the Morongo Basin Transit Authority bus from Joshua Tree to the Twentynine Palms area. Get off at the nearest stop to Cottonwood Spring (check the bus schedule for the closest stop). From there, you may need to walk or hitch a ride to continue to Cottonwood Spring. Please ensure to plan your trip ahead as bus schedules may vary.
