Continue walking straight for about 2 miles. Look for the signs indicating Balboa Island and follow them. You may need to cross the PCH at designated crosswalks. Once you reach the Balboa Peninsula, you can take the Balboa Ferry across to Balboa Island. The ferry is a short and scenic ride, and once you arrive on the island, you can explore its charming shops and waterfront views.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Laguna Beach. Start at the beach and head north along the scenic bike path on Pacific Coast Highway. Stay on the bike lane, which runs parallel to the highway. After about 2 miles, you will reach the Balboa Peninsula. Look for the signs to the Balboa Ferry and park your bike near the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Balboa Island and enjoy exploring the island by bike or on foot once you disembark.

To reach Balboa Island via public transportation, you can take the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) bus. Find the nearest bus stop on Pacific Coast Highway and catch the bus heading towards Newport Beach. Make sure to get off at the stop near Balboa Peninsula. From there, it is a short walk to the Balboa Ferry terminal. Once you arrive at the ferry, you can take it across to Balboa Island. Always check the bus schedule for the latest timings and routes.
