Walking
If you are in the downtown area of Laguna Beach, start at Main Beach (located at 100 Pacific Coast Hwy). Walk south along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) for about 0.5 miles until you reach Laguna Canyon Road. Turn left onto Laguna Canyon Road and continue walking for about 0.2 miles. You will reach the entrance to the Laguna Beach Art Museum on your right. Just past the museum, you will find a path that leads down to the beach. Follow this path to reach the Beach Stairs.
Bus
From any location in Laguna Beach, locate the nearest bus stop for the Laguna Beach Transit service. Take the Trolley (either the Summer Trolley or the year-round Laguna Beach Shuttle) heading towards the South Laguna area. Inform the driver that you would like to get off at the stop near Thousand Steps Beach. After getting off, walk south along Pacific Coast Highway until you find the Beach Stairs. It is approximately a 10-minute walk, and the stairs will be clearly marked.
Biking
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Laguna Beach. Head south on Pacific Coast Highway, enjoying the scenic views along the way. After about 0.5 miles, look for a bike path that leads towards the beach. Follow the path to reach the Beach Stairs. Make sure to park your bike at the designated bike racks near the stairs.
