From your current location in Laguna Beach, head to the nearest bus stop that services the OCTA (Orange County Transportation Authority) routes. You can find stops along Pacific Coast Highway (CA-1). Board the OCTA Route 1 heading north towards Huntington Beach. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, enjoying the scenic views of the coastline. Get off at the Bolsa Chica Street stop. From there, walk west towards the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, which is about a 10-minute walk. Follow Bolsa Chica Street until you reach the entrance of the reserve.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Laguna Beach. Once you have your bike, head northwest along Pacific Coast Highway (CA-1). The ride will take you along the coast, providing beautiful views. Continue on CA-1 for about 4 miles until you reach Bolsa Chica Street. Turn left on Bolsa Chica Street and follow it to the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve entrance, which is just a short distance ahead.

Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and up for a longer walk, you can walk from Laguna Beach to Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. Start by walking north along Pacific Coast Highway (CA-1). The walk is approximately 4 miles and will take around 1.5 hours. Follow the sidewalk along CA-1, enjoying the ocean views. Once you reach Bolsa Chica Street, turn left and walk a short distance to the entrance of the reserve.
