Bus
From any location in Laguna Beach, locate the nearest bus stop for the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) buses. You can take the Route 1 bus, which runs along the Pacific Coast Highway. Make sure to board the bus heading towards Huntington Beach. The bus ride should take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Bolsa Chica State Beach, which is typically located at Pacific Coast Highway and Warner Avenue. From the bus stop, walk north along the Pacific Coast Highway for about 0.5 miles until you reach Bolsa Chica State Beach entrance.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Laguna Beach. Head towards the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and take a left to ride north. Follow the PCH, enjoying the coastal views, for about 6 miles until you reach Bolsa Chica State Beach. The ride should take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your speed. There are bike racks available near the beach entrance for you to secure your bike.
Walking
For those feeling adventurous, you can walk to Bolsa Chica State Beach from Laguna Beach. Start by heading north towards the Pacific Coast Highway. Once you reach PCH, walk along it heading north for about 6 miles. This will take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Be sure to use the sidewalks and be cautious of traffic. The beach entrance will be on your right when you get close to Warner Avenue.
