    Public Transit - Metro

    From Long Beach, head to the nearest Metro station, which is the Long Beach Transit Gallery. Take the Blue Line train towards Washington Station. Ride for about 20 minutes until you reach the 7th Street/Metro Center station in downtown Los Angeles. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to the 7th Street exit. When you are on 7th Street, walk west towards Flower Street, then turn right on Flower Street and walk north until you reach 5th Street. Turn left on 5th Street, and you will find the Central Library at 630 W 5th St.

    Public Transit - Bus

    At any Long Beach bus stop, take the Long Beach Transit Line 51 bus towards downtown Los Angeles. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the 5th Street and Flower Street stop. From there, walk east on 5th Street, and the Central Library will be on your right at 630 W 5th St.

    If you are already in downtown Long Beach, you can take a pleasant walk to the Central Library. Start at the Long Beach Convention Center and head north on Elm Avenue. Continue walking until you reach 1st Street, then turn left. Follow 1st Street until you reach Pine Avenue, where you will turn right. Keep walking until you reach 5th Street, then turn left. The Central Library will be on your left at 630 W 5th St.
