Public Transit (Metro)
From Long Beach, head to the nearest Metro station, which is the Long Beach Transit Gallery. Take the Metro Blue Line (now called the A Line) towards Los Angeles. Ride the train for about 25 minutes until you reach the 7th Street/Metro Center Station in downtown Los Angeles. Once you arrive, transfer to the Metro Red Line towards Union Station. Ride for 2 stops and get off at the 'Union Station' stop. From Union Station, exit the station and walk towards the northwest to find the bus stop for the DASH Chinatown service that will take you directly to Chinatown.
Public Transit (Bus)
Start your journey at the Long Beach Transit Gallery and take the Long Beach Transit bus line 51 towards Los Angeles. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the '7th St./Broadway' stop in downtown Los Angeles. From there, transfer to the Metro bus line 60 towards Chinatown and ride for about 10 minutes, getting off at 'Chinatown'. This will bring you right into the heart of Chinatown.
Walking
If you are already in downtown Long Beach, you can take a scenic walk to the Long Beach Transit Gallery at 1 W 1st St, Long Beach, CA 90802. From there, follow the steps mentioned under Public Transit (Metro) to reach Chinatown.
Rideshare (Uber/Lyft)
For a more direct route, you can use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply open the app and input 'Chinatown, Los Angeles, CA 90012' as your destination. The driver will pick you up from your current location in Long Beach and take you directly to Chinatown. Please note that this option may be more expensive than public transportation.
