Public Transit - Metro Blue Line
If you are in Long Beach, head to the nearest Metro Blue Line station. The closest stations might be Long Beach Transit Mall or 1st Street Station. Board the train heading towards Washington Station. Your journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Washington Station, transfer to the Metro Red Line at the 7th Street/Metro Center station. From there, take the Red Line towards Union Station. Get off at the Civic Center station, which is the closest stop to Mark Taper Forum. From the station, walk northeast on W 1st Street and then turn left onto N Grand Ave. The venue will be on your right at 135 N Grand Ave.
Public Transit - Bus
Locate the nearest bus stop that services lines going towards downtown Los Angeles. You can use Long Beach Transit to catch a bus heading towards the downtown area. Look for routes 51 or 52. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach a stop near the transit center in downtown LA. After disembarking, follow signs to the Metro station and board the Metro Red Line toward Union Station. Get off at the Civic Center stop. From there, walk northeast on W 1st Street, then turn left onto N Grand Ave. Walk a short distance, and you will find the Mark Taper Forum at 135 N Grand Ave.

If you are close to the downtown area of Long Beach, you can walk to the Long Beach Transit Mall, which is a central hub for buses and trains. From there, follow the signs to the Metro Blue Line station. After boarding, follow the instructions as per the Metro Blue Line route mentioned above. If you are already in downtown Los Angeles, simply head towards 135 N Grand Ave, which is in the Little Tokyo area. Use a map application for real-time directions.
