Bus
If you're in downtown Los Angeles, you can take the Big Blue Bus Line 10 or 14 from the downtown area to Santa Monica. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop that serves these lines and stay on until you reach Santa Monica. Get off at the stop near Ocean Avenue and Pico Blvd. From there, walk west towards the beach, and then head south on Ocean Front Walk until you reach 1652 Ocean Front Walk, where Chess Park is located.
Metro + Bus
Start at any Metro station in Los Angeles and take the Expo Line towards Santa Monica. Get off at the final station, which is Santa Monica. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk to the nearest bus stop to catch the Big Blue Bus Line 1 or 2. Take the bus towards the beach and get off at the stop at Ocean Avenue and Colorado Ave. From there, walk south along Ocean Front Walk until you reach Chess Park at 1652 Ocean Front Walk.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike from any bike-sharing service available in the city. Start your ride from your location and head towards the Santa Monica bike path. Follow the bike path along the beach, which will lead you directly to Ocean Front Walk. Once you reach Ocean Front Walk, continue riding until you arrive at 1652 Ocean Front Walk, where Chess Park is located. There are bike racks available to secure your bike while you enjoy the park.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, you can simply walk to Chess Park. Make your way towards Ocean Front Walk and head south along the beach. Enjoy the beautiful ocean views as you walk.
