Since 2004, it has transformed Downtown LA's Historic Core into a walkable haven of culture, drawing thousands of visitors to explore galleries, studios, and cultural institutions. The Art Walk spans several blocks, showcasing diverse artistic mediums, from paintings and sculptures to performance art and installations. Beyond the art itself, the event fosters a strong sense of community, with local shops, restaurants, and food trucks adding to the lively atmosphere. Public Transport
For the final approach to the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk, public transportation is highly recommended due to limited and costly parking. The Metro Rail is a convenient option. Take the A, B, D, or J Line to the Pershing Square or Civic Center/Grand Park stations. From Pershing Square, walk south along Spring or Main Street. From Civic Center/Grand Park, walk south along Grand Avenue, then turn east onto 4th Street to reach the heart of the Art Walk. A single Metro fare is $1.75, which includes two hours of free transfers. A day pass is $7, allowing unlimited rides on Metro-operated bus and rail lines.

Taxi/Ride-Share
If arriving by taxi or ride-sharing service (Uber/Lyft), request a drop-off near the intersection of Spring Street and 4th Street or Main Street and 4th Street. This puts you in the center of the Art Walk area. Expect to pay around $8-$15 for a short ride within Downtown Los Angeles, depending on traffic and distance. Be aware that surge pricing may apply during peak Art Walk hours.

If driving, be prepared for limited and expensive parking. Several parking lots are available in the Old Bank District and near the Regent Theatre DTLA. Lots at 416 S Main St and 445 Main St offer parking, with rates typically ranging from $10-$25 for the evening. Street parking is also available, but it is limited and metered. Check posted signs for restrictions and rates. Some parking garages near the Los Angeles Convention Center charge flat rates of $27-$42, depending on the event.
