Getting There

• Public Transit

  Start by locating the nearest bus stop that services the Malibu area. Use the Metro Bus Line 534, which runs along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Board the bus heading towards 'Malibu'. Keep an eye on the stops and get off at the 'Pacific Coast Hwy & El Matador Beach' stop. From there, you will need to walk about 0.5 miles south along Pacific Coast Highway. Be cautious as the road can be busy. Look for signs directing you to the beach entrance.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, you can ride along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. Make your way to the section of the highway that runs through Malibu. Head south on PCH until you reach '32350 Pacific Coast Hwy,' which is the entrance to El Matador State Beach. There will be a small parking area, but as a cyclist, you can simply lock your bike and follow the path that leads to the beach.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of El Matador State Beach, you can walk to the beach from nearby locations like Malibu Pier or Zuma Beach. Simply head south along the beach path until you reach the area near '32350 Pacific Coast Hwy'. There are signs that will guide you to the beach entrance. Be prepared for some stairs and rocky terrain as you approach the beach.

• Ride-Sharing

  For a more convenient option, you can use a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Simply enter 'El Matador State Beach' or '32350 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265' as your destination in the app. Your driver will navigate through Malibu and drop you off directly at the beach entrance. Make sure to check the drop-off location as some ride-shares may not be able to access the very entrance of the beach.
