Walking
From Pier Avenue and Hermosa Avenue, walk west towards the ocean. Continue straight onto Pier Avenue, passing shops and restaurants. At the end of Pier Avenue, you'll arrive at the Hermosa Beach Pier and the Strand. This is a pedestrian-friendly route.
Public Transport
If arriving by Beach Cities Transit, several bus lines stop near Hermosa Avenue and 11th Street, a short walk to the pier. From the bus stop, walk west on 11th Street towards Hermosa Avenue, then turn left onto Hermosa Avenue and walk south to Pier Avenue. Finally, turn right onto Pier Avenue and walk west to the pier. A single ride on Beach Cities Transit costs $1. The TAP card can be purchased for $2, and can be reloaded.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Request a ride to Pier Avenue and Hermosa Avenue. From there, it's a short walk west on Pier Avenue to the Hermosa Beach Pier. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft operate in Hermosa Beach. A short ride within Hermosa Beach typically costs $11-$19.
Driving
Navigate to Hermosa Avenue and Pier Avenue. Be aware that parking can be challenging, especially during peak hours. Metered street parking is available on Hermosa Avenue and Upper Pier Avenue for $2.00 per hour from 10 AM to 8 PM, and $2.50 per hour from 8 PM to 2 AM. Public parking lots (Lot A, Lot B, and Lot C) are also available with rates of $2.00 per hour from 10 AM to 8 PM, and $2.50 per hour from 8 PM to 2 AM.
