Walking
The Harrison Memorial Library is centrally located in Carmel-by-the-Sea at the corner of Ocean Avenue and Lincoln Street. From most points in downtown Carmel, the library is easily accessible on foot. From Devendorf Park on Ocean Avenue, walk west towards Lincoln Street. The library will be on your left. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport
Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) provides bus service to Carmel-by-the-Sea. From the nearest MST bus stop on Ocean Avenue, the library is a short walk away. Check MST schedules for the most up-to-date route information. A single ride fare is approximately $2.50.
Driving
If driving, navigate to the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Lincoln Street. Parking can be found on the surrounding streets, but it may be limited, especially during peak tourist season. Free, 30 minute & 2-hour curbside parking is available on every block in the Central Business District. Free, unlimited time parking is available at the Vista Lobos public parking lot, located on Torres Street and 3rd Avenue; Center median streets and curbside spaces on Junipero Avenue between 3rd and 5th Avenues; The Sunset Center north parking lot located on 8th Avenue between Mission and San Carlos Streets; Most residential streets outside the Central Business District and The Del Mar parking lot, located at the base of Ocean Avenue near the beach.
