If you enjoy cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Monterey. Head south on Ocean View Blvd until you reach the intersection with CA-1. Turn left onto CA-1 and continue for about 8 miles. The ride will take around 40-50 minutes. Look for signage indicating the entrance to Point Sur State Historic Park on your right.

Walking from Monterey to Point Sur State Historic Park is quite a long trek, about 8 miles. Start at Cannery Row and head south along the coastal path. Follow the path until you reach CA-1. There is limited pedestrian access along the highway, so be cautious. It will take approximately 2-3 hours to walk there. Once you reach the intersection with CA-1, the entrance to the park will be on your right.
