If you're starting from downtown Mountain View, head east on Castro Street. Walk straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Franklin Street. Turn left onto Franklin Street, and continue walking for about 0.3 miles. The Mountain View Public Library will be on your right at 585 Franklin St, identifiable by its unique architecture.
Public Transit
From the Mountain View Caltrain station, exit the station and head south on Castro Street. After a short walk, catch the VTA Bus 22 or 23 at the Castro Street & El Camino Real stop. Stay on the bus for about 5 minutes and get off at the Franklin Street & San Antonio Road stop. Walk east on Franklin Street for a few minutes, and you will find the Mountain View Public Library at 585 Franklin St.
Biking
If you're biking from the Shoreline Park area, head northwest on Shoreline Blvd towards the intersection with Rengstorff Ave. Turn left onto Rengstorff Ave, then take a right onto Castro Street. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach Franklin Street, then turn left. The library will be on your right at 585 Franklin St.
