Beaux: Castro's Premier LGBTQIA+ Dance Bar

Beaux, a popular LGBTQIA+ venue located in the heart of San Francisco's Castro district, stands as a beacon of nightlife and community spirit. Situated at 2344 Market St, it occupies a site rich with history, as it was formerly home to The Missouri Mule, the Castro's first gay bar which opened in 1963. Open seven days a week, Beaux transitions from a craft cocktail lounge during the day to a high-energy dance club at night. Happy hour is offered Mon-Fri 3-9pm, Sat & Sun 5-9pm. Some of the themes include hip-hop Mondays, Pussy Party Wednesdays, and Manimal parties on Fridays. On weekends, drag brunches add a dash of glamour to the daytime scene. The interior of Beaux features a luxurious lounge, updated nightclub lighting, and a large dance floor. A recent renovation included a 40% larger dance floor and a 20-foot LED screen wall.
