From the Huntington Beach Pier, head south along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). You will pass several shops and restaurants. Continue walking for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Newport Boulevard.

At the intersection of PCH and Newport Boulevard, turn left onto Newport Boulevard. Continue walking for another mile. You will cross over the Santa Ana River and see the ocean on your right.

After crossing the river, you will reach the Balboa Peninsula area. Follow Newport Boulevard as it turns into a beachside path. Stay on this path, which will lead you directly to Newport Beach Pier.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take the OCTA bus 1 from the Huntington Beach Transit Center. Board the bus heading south towards Newport Beach. Get off at the stop nearest to Newport Pier, which is located at 1 Newport Pier. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes.
