Public Bus
From any location in Palm Desert, head to the nearest bus stop serving the SunLine Transit Agency. Board the Route 10 bus towards Palm Springs. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the stop labeled 'Palm Springs - Palm Canyon at Mesquite.' Once you disembark, walk west on Mesquite Ave for about 0.5 miles. You will see the entrance to Tahquitz Canyon on your right.

If you're comfortable riding a bike, rent one from a local shop in Palm Desert. Start by heading west on El Paseo, then continue onto San Pablo Ave. After about 2 miles, turn right onto Mesquite Ave. Follow Mesquite Ave for another mile, and you'll reach the entrance of Tahquitz Canyon on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated!

If you’re staying in central Palm Desert, you can walk to Tahquitz Canyon. Start by heading south on El Paseo. Continue until you reach the intersection with Highway 111. Cross the highway carefully and head west. Continue walking for approximately 3 miles until you reach Mesquite Ave. Turn right on Mesquite Ave and walk another half mile; the entrance to Tahquitz Canyon will be on your left.
