The Bunker Hill Steps, also known as the Library Steps, are a striking public art installation and pedestrian pathway in downtown Los Angeles. Designed by Lawrence Halprin and completed in 1989, the steps connect Hope Street to Fifth Street, bridging Bunker Hill and the Financial District. The staircase is bisected by a cascading water feature, offering a serene escape in the urban environment.

Walking
From the Los Angeles Central Library, cross W 5th Street. The Bunker Hill Steps are directly opposite the library entrance. Ascend the steps towards Hope Street.
Public Transport
From Hollywood, take Metro Bus Line 212 or 217 towards downtown. Get off at 5th Street & Hill Street. Walk east along W 5th St for about two blocks to find the Library Steps on the left. A single fare is $1.75.
