Discover more about Pickwick Bowl

Pickwick Bowl, located at 921 W Riverside Dr in Burbank, California, was a cherished entertainment destination for over six decades. Opening in 1961, the 24-lane bowling alley was part of the larger Pickwick Recreation Center, which, at various times, included an ice rink, swimming pool, mobile home park, drive-in movie theater, and banquet facilities. Owned and operated by the same family since 1961, Pickwick Bowl became a community hub for leagues, birthday parties, and casual gatherings. Its retro ambiance and friendly atmosphere fostered lasting memories for Burbankers and Angelenos alike. The facility also featured arcade games, billiards, a full-service bar, and a snack bar, ensuring there was something for everyone. Despite its popularity and significance to the community, Pickwick Bowl closed its doors on August 15, 2023, and was subsequently demolished to make way for a new townhome development. While the bowling alley is gone, the adjacent Pickwick Ice rink remains open.
