Getting There

  • Driving

    From downtown San Diego, take the CA-75 S/San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge. Continue on CA-75 S, following signs for Coronado. Once in Coronado, proceed north on Ocean Boulevard. Enter Naval Air Station North Island via the main gate at the north end of Ocean Boulevard by Sunset Park; have your military ID ready for access. Follow Rogers Road to the beachfront parking area. Parking is free and plentiful.

  • Public Transport

    From downtown San Diego, take the San Diego Trolley Blue Line to the 'San Diego International Airport' station. From there, catch the Route 923 bus towards Coronado. Get off at the stop for 'Breakers Beach'. Note that you will still need military base access to enter Breakers Beach. The bus fare is approximately $2.50. A day pass is $6.00.
