Car
From downtown San Diego, take I-5 South toward the Mexico border. Continue on I-5 South for approximately 20 miles until you reach the exit for CA-905 East. Take the exit onto CA-905 East and continue for about 5 miles. Merge onto I-805 South and follow for 7 miles. Take the exit for CA-94 East toward the Mexico border. After approximately 2 miles, exit onto CA-125 South and follow for about 2 miles. Merge onto I-8 East and continue for about 8 miles. Exit on Otay Lakes Road and turn left. After about 2 miles, turn right onto the dirt road that leads to Border Monument No. 252. Be aware that some parts of this road may require a high-clearance vehicle.

Public Transportation
Take the San Diego Trolley Blue Line from downtown San Diego toward San Ysidro. Once you reach the San Ysidro Transit Center, transfer to the MTS bus route 905. Ride the bus towards the Otay Mesa Transit Center. Get off at the stop closest to Otay Lakes Road. From there, you have to walk approximately 1.5 miles. Be prepared for uneven terrain, and ensure you have suitable walking shoes. It is recommended to check the MTS website for the latest schedules and routes.
