From Santa Barbara, head to the Santa Barbara Transit Center located at 102 E Cota St. Take the 'Clean Air Express' bus towards Solvang. The bus will stop at various points along the way. Request to get off at the Solvang Park stop. From Solvang Park, walk north on Mission Dr for about 0.3 miles until you reach Alamo Pintado Rd. Turn left on Alamo Pintado Rd and continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach Blackjack Ranch at 2205 Alamo Pintado Rd.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Santa Barbara. Head out towards the bike path on Cabrillo Blvd and follow it northwest along the beach. Continue on this path until you reach the intersection with State St. Turn left on State St and bike towards the north until you reach the intersection with Highway 246. Follow Highway 246 towards Solvang for about 11 miles. Once you reach Solvang, turn right on Alamo Pintado Rd and continue for another mile to reach Blackjack Ranch.
