Bus
From downtown Santa Barbara, head to the nearest MTD (Mountain Transit District) bus stop. You can catch the Line 1 bus heading toward Goleta. Ride the bus for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Montecito & Olive.' Once you get off, walk east on Olive Street until you reach W Montecito Street. Turn right and continue walking for about 5 minutes until you see the Fernald Mansion at 414 W Montecito St on your left.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bike, start at the Santa Barbara waterfront and head east on Cabrillo Boulevard. Continue along the beach until you reach the intersection with State Street. Turn left on State Street and ride north until you reach W Montecito Street. Turn right on W Montecito Street and continue for about 1 mile until you arrive at 414 W Montecito St. Look for the mansion on your left.
Walking
If you are in the downtown area, start at the Santa Barbara Courthouse located at 1100 Anacapa St. Head south on Anacapa Street until you reach E Cota Street. Turn right on E Cota Street and walk until you hit State Street. Turn left on State Street and continue walking until you reach W Montecito Street. Then turn right onto W Montecito Street and walk for approximately 15 minutes. The Fernald Mansion will be located at 414 W Montecito St on your left.
Rideshare
You can use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Enter 'Fernald Mansion, 414 W Montecito St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101' as your destination. Depending on your current location in Santa Barbara, the driver will take you directly to the mansion.
