Walking
From downtown Santa Barbara, head south on State Street towards the ocean. Continue onto Cabrillo Boulevard and walk west. West Beach will be on your right, between Stearns Wharf and the Santa Barbara Harbor. This is a straightforward, scenic walk with no additional costs.
Public Transport
From Santa Barbara Airport (SBA), take the MTD Line 11 bus towards downtown. Get off at the Carrillo & Bath stop. From there, walk towards the beach. The beach will be to your right. The bus fare is approximately $1-2.
Taxi/Ride-Share
From Santa Barbara Airport (SBA), a taxi or ride-share to West Beach will take approximately 12 minutes. The estimated cost is $40-$50. Note that prices may vary depending on traffic and demand.
Parking
If driving, there is street parking available along Cabrillo Boulevard near West Beach. There is also a parking garage on lower State Street, about a block away. Parking rates typically range from $2.50 per hour, with a daily maximum of $12.
