Walking
From the heart of Downtown Santa Barbara, head east on State Street. Walk for about 4 blocks until you reach Anacapa Street. Turn left onto Anacapa Street and continue walking for 2 blocks. The Santa Barbara County Courthouse Gardens will be on your right at 1100 Anacapa St. You will know you’ve arrived when you see the stunning architecture of the courthouse and the lush gardens surrounding it.

Bicycle
If you prefer to ride a bike, you can rent one from a local bike rental shop in Downtown Santa Barbara. After renting, head east on State Street and then make a left onto Anacapa Street. The bike ride will take around 5-10 minutes depending on your speed. There are bike racks available near the entrance of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse Gardens where you can securely park your bike.

Public Transportation (Bus)
To take the bus, locate the nearest MTD (Montecito Transit District) bus stop in Downtown Santa Barbara. You can catch the Line 1 or Line 2 buses that run frequently. Make sure to check the latest bus schedule on the MTD website or app. Get off at the Anacapa & Carrillo stop, which is a short walk from the gardens. From there, walk north on Anacapa Street for about 2 blocks to reach the Santa Barbara County Courthouse Gardens.
