Getting There

• Walking

  From the heart of Downtown Santa Barbara, start at State Street, the main thoroughfare. Head east on Carrillo Street, which is just north of the bustling State Street. Continue walking on Carrillo Street for about 5-7 minutes. The Hill Carrillo Adobe will be located on your left at 11 E Carrillo St. Look for the distinctive Adobe-style architecture as you approach.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  To use public transit, walk to the nearest bus stop on State Street. Look for the MTD (Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District) bus routes that service the Downtown area. You can take the Line 1 or Line 3 bus. Purchase a ticket from the bus driver (cost is typically $1.50). Ride for 1-2 stops and get off at the 'Carrillo & State' stop. From there, walk east along Carrillo Street for about 3 minutes. The Hill Carrillo Adobe will be on your left at 11 E Carrillo St.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Downtown Santa Barbara. Once you have your bike, head east along Carrillo Street. It's about a 5-minute ride.
