From State Street, Santa Barbara's main thoroughfare, walk east towards the mountains. Continue for several blocks until you reach Santa Barbara Street. Turn left and walk north for one block. Alameda Park will be on your right, spanning between Sola and Micheltorena Streets. Look for the large grassy area and the distinctive Kids World playground. The walk is generally flat and takes about 10-15 minutes. No costs are associated with walking.

Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District (MTD) buses serve the area around Alameda Park. Several routes stop near the park on State Street or along Anacapa Street. Get off at Sola Street and walk east one block to Santa Barbara Street. The current standard fare is $1.75 per ride.
