Getting There

    If you are in Montecito, start by walking towards Coast Village Road. This main road is a key route in Montecito. Continue on Coast Village Road until you reach the intersection with Santa Monica Road. Turn right onto Santa Monica Road and walk straight. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the Montecito Plaza area. From there, you can catch the MTD (Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District) bus towards Santa Barbara.

    Once at Montecito Plaza, look for the MTD bus stop. You can take the Line 1 or Line 2 bus towards Santa Barbara. The bus fare is approximately $1.75 per person, and you can pay with cash or a transit card. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes until you arrive at the stop near the intersection of State Street and Canon Perdido Street.

    After getting off the bus, walk east on Canon Perdido Street. El Presidio de Santa Bárbara State Historic Park is located at 123 E Canon Perdido St, just a short walk from the bus stop. It should take you about 5-10 minutes to reach the park. Look for the entrance on your left.
